Training FAQ's

Have questions about our training courses?

Check out some FAQ's below. If you still have questions, submit them below!
What are the courses like?
We have a variety of strategy-focused courses, from FASD-specific courses to those with a wider lens. The topics covered incorporate harm reduction and strengths-based approaches. All courses are available online and can be completed at your own pace.
How long do the courses take to complete?
Courses can take between 1.5 and 3 hours to complete, depending on reading speed. All courses can be completed at your own pace. You can take breaks and come back as many times as you'd like.
Will I receive a completion certificate?
Yes. A completion certificate will automatically be generated upon finishing all course content. Be sure to use an identifiable name when creating your account, as this is the name that will appear on your certificate.
Can I use these courses in my own curriculum/Classroom?
Yes! If you wish to use these courses, to see student progress and activity logs, please email [email protected], so we can set up a group access code. These can be replacements for course instruction when the professor has a conference or prior engagement.
Are these courses offered in person?
Yes, any course can be offered in-person or over zoom. Please email contact@fasdNL to request in-person training sessions.
What are the evaluations like?
Evaluations vary from multiple choice questions to written response-type questions, depending on the course.
How accessible Are THE COURSEs?
We have worked within the bounds of Thinkific to make the courses as accessible as possible. Content is available in written form and is voiced-over.
Do you offer refunds for paid courses?
We only offer refunds for paid courses if they are incomplete. If a completion certificate was generated, you are not eligible for a refund.
WHAT IS THE COST OF TRAINING?
Most training courses are available for free for those who need it, or on a pay-what-you-can basis. Our ASWB-accredited course for social workers costs $25 (a requirement of the accrediting body).
How long will I have access to the course?
You will have access to the course for as long as the course is available.
