fasdNL offers customized training for groups 1hr-1/2 day sessions by request and availability.
Our trainers have provided training for police, junior high and high school youth, school teachers and educators, early childhood educators, allied health professionals, parents and caregivers, social workers, corrections and community organizations.

​Building Bridges Not Barriers - Nova Scotia FASD Conference, Pictou, Nova Scotia
fasdNL board members Dave Martin, Karen Beresford & Adrienne Peters & staff Kate Winsor presented their various work and research  at the first provincial FASD conference in Pictou, Nova Scotia on October 10 & 11th, 2017
Dave Martin presented "Strategies and Interventions to Apply When Raising a Child With Co-Morbid Conditions of FASD & Exposure to Trauma"
Adrienne Peters presented "Differentiating Youth Probationer Typologies Based on Mental Health & FASD Diagnosis"
Kate Winsor presented "The Role of FASD in Justice Decision Making in the Atlantic Provinces"

NLC Store Bag Initiative June 2017
Recently, members of fasdNL and of the FASD Labrador Committee delivered a presentation about healthy choices during pregnancies to the grade 7 classes at Queen of Peace school in Town of Happy Valley - Goose Bay. The kids were then given NLC store bags to decorate using the messages that were discussed during the presentation. The bags will be distributed at the NLC Liquor Store in Happy Valley Goose Bay on international #FASD Day on September 9th.
