Our monthly parent and caregiver support group set to launch in St. John's in April will now be held virtually as a Zoom video meeting.
Please join our group facilitators as we chat about coping and strategies for living with FASD that are especially important during this unsettling time. This meeting is open to parents and caregivers across the province and will replace our regularly scheduled Virtual Support Group (originally scheduled for April 8). If you are interested in attending, please email [email protected] Zoom meeting information and directions for how to join will be circulated to those who RSVP. fasdNL is launching a monthly parent and caregiver support group in St. John's in April. As an active network member, you support our organization financially and become part of our work across Newfoundland and Labrador in supporting education, resource and support initiatives about fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. By growing our membership, we expand our voice as a community organization working to bring attention and increased responses to FASD in the province. As a member, you will be able to respond to surveys or other inquiries that impact individuals, families and communities about FASD. You will be able to participate in our support initiatives for parents and caregivers, receive our updates and communications and receive a discount on your next training offered by fasdNL.

We've just added compiled daily living strategies for parents and caregivers of individuals with #FASD. Now available on our website under Resources.
Each strategy document is downloadable and printable. The information is a compilation of everyday strategies and approaches used by parents and caregivers and parents of individuals with FASD. Each individual impacted by FASD has unique strengths and challenges. Therefore, not all strategies suggested will necessarily work for your situation. We recommend finding the best approach and routine that works for you and stick with it! fasdNL is hosting an upcoming event in St. John's for parents and caregivers of individuals with suspected or diagnosed FASD.
